It's almost here ... or at least they're making one of the greatest novels ever written into a movie.
God, please let them do this right.
If they keep the movie half as good as the novel, this will be one of the best movies of the past 10 years.

Oh come now. As optimistic as I generally am, you know they're gonna eff up Marquez. Most people don't even read Marquez, much less translate his work to film.

I know, I know ... it just breaks my heart. It might encourage some to pick up this book and read it, so despite the inevitable fuck up of the book, it will have some good come of it.
Got a pretty good cast. I am going to put this book on my list of stuff I need to read :)

Not Mr. Walker. They decided to cast Benjamin Bratt and that chick from "Maria Full of Grace" when Vin Diesel and Linsday Lohan decided to pull out of production (that sounds filthy, doesn't it?)
I am looking forward to the movie and yes, I will read the book first. Thank you for the suggestion.
