I think you'd like The Alchemist. It's very magical and fable-like. Good message. Yada yada. I enjoy Coehlo a lot in general.

Andi-
It's ironic you said that, I found a used copy last Sunday for .99 cents. I bought and will read it once I finish up my book on Thermopylae.

I have a feeling you read better books than I do. I have a lot of catching up to do.

Chelle-
Are you kidding? Look at my list here ... lol ... now, if it were magazines, I might be able to say I'm "well read".

i've also read the great gatsby several times.

you know, i wonder who came up with this list. i was surprised not to see alice walker or toni morrison on the list. and there's no chicano/latino literature on the list either. where's rudolfo anaya or sandra cisneros? julia alvarez?

i just thought those omissions were interesting.

Dude you need to finish Crime and Punishment!

Grapes of Wrath and Great Gatsby is good stuff

Sonrisa-
See, occasionally I have a good post. So we have different tastes in music? In what way?

Jen-
That's a good question. I would've included "Bless Me, Ultima" (one of my faves ... about my home state!!)

Lindsay-
One of these days I will read it. I just need to be more disciplined. I'm so weak ;)
